11-year-old interviews Obama, talks future career

From the mouths of babes come the most entertaining and frank comments. An 11-year-old Florida boy named David Weaver interviewed President Obama on Aug. 14 and has become something of a sensation since. Time magazine has a great Q&A with Weaver, who answers with short but honest responses about his experience with Obama and his plans for the future.

A few excerpts:

  • "At the end of the interview you asked Obama to be your homeboy, and he said yes. How does it feel?
It feels good. It feels the same, though."
  • "How about education? What do you think his priorities should be?
I think that he should change the school lunches.
  • "You told him you wanted mangoes on the menu, right?
    Yep. Fries and mangoes."
  • "Your interview with the President has been viewed more than 400,000 times on YouTube. Did you expect that?
    Not in the first week."
